The Joy for Julian Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created in honor of our beloved son and first child, Julian Eli Mendelson, who tragically died in a swimming pool accident. We raise funds and make grants to qualified nonprofit and community organizations whose work aligns with our mission, while raising awareness about important issues facing families like water safety. Drowning is the leading cause of death for children age 1-4 in the United States.

Julian embodied free-spirited joy and lived life to the fullest in his short 2.5 years. We hope through the Joy for Julian Foundation to make the earth a more peaceful, joyful place to carry on Julian’s mission that he started here physically and continues on spiritually.
